Steve Eberhard

I love taking photographs. I always have. As a young man, I imagined myself taking photos, capturing the world as a photographer. When I enlisted in the Army in 1967 I wanted to be a combat photographer. They said they didn’t need any photographers. Instead, my job was to jump out of planes and blow shit up, but I took snapshots with my little 16mm  Minolta during my tours of duty, and those grainy little photos still resonate with me today. Later, as a small businessman, the camera not only became my marketing tool of choice, but photography became my passion. Once I retired, I blissfully spent countless hours studying the art while learning how to make my camera accurately capture what I was seeing, and honing my skills as a photographer taking the captured image and turning it into an art piece. If my taking photos for artistic expressions causes one to ponder — that is my reward.
