Judy Hope

I have always lived in California and I wanted to be an artist as a young child.  I received my degree in art from Humboldt State University.  After graduating, my husband and I chose to live in the country to learn how to be as self-sufficient as possible.  We grew a garden, raised animals, built our home, and raised a daughter among the oaks, manzanita, and Madrones of Mendocino County.

I earned a living drafting plans for an architect and painted when I found time.  The drafting kept my drawing skills honed.  Gradually I painted more and drafted less and now, I only paint as a job.  It's a wonderful job, but more challenging than most belief.
