This year’s Willits Photography Club’s annual photography show dedicated to long time member and former president Art Butterfield, who passed away April 7, 2008, has been renamed The Art Butterfield Memorial Photography Show and will feature works from his extensive collection selected and donated by his family. November’s show on November 11th, coincides with what would have been his 73rd birthday.
Art was the heart and soul of the Willits Photography Club. He was a lifelong student of photography always striving to perfect his craft. Yet, he had no arrogance, and was willing to share his knowledge. His stories about his images and exploits kept us mesmerized whether it was of birds, vacation, grand kids or the now famous Bindi painting the kitchen. His critiques were gentle and constructive, peppered with words of encouragement.
Art worked tirelessly to make the club a success; organizing meetings, spearheading the preparations for the annual show, and getting much needed equipment. His love for photography drove the club.
Art’s photographs will be on display during the month of November.
Featuring: Art Butterfield Memorial & A Day in the Life of Willits

The Willits Photography Club is devoted to those who wish to perfect their
