ART IN THE MIDDLE is a celebration of young artists in our community, in keeping with the spirit of Jackie Pealatere's brainchild "Wild in the Middle". This show is a wonderful and diverse mix of nearly every art media you can think of, and perhaps some you haven't!
It is an awe-inspiring collection of spontaneity, imagination, explosive color and creativity, not to be missed. Remember Picasso's quote: "It took me four years to paint like Raphael and a lifetime to paint like a child"? Come and re-experience that freedom and joy of self expression!!!
This year's participating schools are: Willits Charter, Baechtel Grove and La Vida. Organizers of this show are just a few of the Middle School Art Teachers in our community, they are: Sheri Howe & Marilyn Goldstein-Schultz (WCS), Courtney Cannizzaro (Baechtel Grove), and Marsha Williams (La Vida).
The show will run from January 11 through February 3, 2008 with the artists' reception held Friday, January 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. Please come and show your support for our community of children.
