The volunteers and Commissioners at the Willits Center for the Arts have been very busy this month with improvements to the art center, such as installing new smoke alarms, and working on the storeroom renovation. The smoke alarms are connected to our security system for added protection to our building and artwork.
The lights in the classroom have been changed to full spectrum lights to give quality lighting for art classes and meetings.
One major improvement is the installation of the partition wall that will have full length mirrors for our dance classes. Chairs and tables can be conveniently hidden behind the wall to allow for more open dance space.
Thank you to Willits Cultural Arts Commissioners Jeff Crawford, Gary Coon, and Janet Rayner, for all their many hours of work, as well as the volunteer community members who have come forward. Volunteers are what keeps our center running. Please contact the Art Center if you have time available.
